Did LTK Just Change What Creators Get Paid? (2026)

Did LTK Just Change What Creators Get Paid? (2026)

September 25, 2026

The short answer

Your pay can move, and nobody has to ask you first.

Here is the short version. LTK does not set your rate. Each brand does. That is LTK's own line: "Each LTK brand partner selects their own commission rate upon partnering with LTK."

And the clock is short. LTK puts most cookie windows at 7 to 30 days. Seven to fourteen on average.

A link rents you a stranger for a week. A customer who reorders stays.

That is the whole post. The rest is the proof.

What did LTK actually change?

Quick answer: the paperwork moved. The pay rules were always this thin.

You post a room. She taps the link. A cookie lands on her phone. If she orders, you get paid once. Then it is gone.

LTK updated its paperwork this spring. Its privacy statement says last updated March 18, 2026.

So I went looking for a rate cut. A number, on a page, with a date on it. I did not find one.

You can always say no.

What I found instead was worse. It has been sitting there the whole time.

LTK does not decide what you get paid. Each brand does. Some brands even pay a different rate depending on the product category.

Then the window. LTK says most cookie windows run 7 to 30 days. Seven to fourteen on average.

Then the part that stings. Your link loses credit if she taps another creator's link first. Or another affiliate's. Or uses a one-time promo code. That is LTK's own page, not mine.

And on Instagram there is no cookie window at all. She has to buy right then, inside that browser, without leaving it.

None of that is about your work. All of it is about your money.

Why can your rate move without you?

Quick answer: you agreed they could change it whenever they like.

One line does most of the damage. It sits in LTK's own terms.

LTK "may modify the Agreement or any other terms ... at any time."

Its referral page says the same thing about money. LTK can change the referral fee amounts at any time, on written notice.

That is not a partnership. That is a notice board.

And so the reel you filmed in March can get paid on June's rules. Your March is gone. You cannot go back and earn it again.

You did the hard half. You built the trust. Somebody else kept the customer.

Quick answer: one is a single sale. The other is a customer who can keep reordering.

The click

A cookie is a few days long. Then you are back at zero. You go and find another stranger, and you do it again tomorrow.

The record

Ask where your customer lives. Not her house. Her record. If it sits on a system you cannot log into, you are renting her.

The reorder

This is the one I care about. She runs out of laundry soap. She orders more. If she does, you stay credited. You did the work once and it can keep counting.

Nobody hands you that table on day one. I am handing it to you now. It costs you nothing. Take it to a company that is not mine.

Isn't this just another pitch?

Quick answer: partly, and here is the part I will not dress up.

LTK is not a monster. In August 2024 it announced weekly commission payouts for creators. That is faster than a lot of the field. I will say so plainly.

The problem is not that they are careless. It is that the rules are theirs, and they can move on a Tuesday.

I will not pretend reorder income is a magic word either. A company built on reorders can close too. Any of them can.

Here is what I can tell you about here. Switch to America sells straight from the manufacturer. No middlemen and no markup. No minimums, no maximums.

You pay what a brand new shopper pays. Not a penny less. I have no special rate and I would not offer you one. Anybody who discounts you on day one is buying you, not building with you.

And there is no list of ten people you know. I do not teach that and I do not have one.

I will not hand you a number to expect either. Nobody honest can.

What would I do first on Monday?

Quick answer: count what you own, then write down the people.

Count what pays you next month

Open your dashboard. Write down what pays you next month if you post nothing at all. For link work that number is usually zero. Put it on paper. It stops living in your stomach and starts living somewhere you can look at it.

Write down the people, not the links

Do not skip this. It is the only thing you still own outright. Every name you can remember. The one who asks you what shampoo. Her sister. The one from school pickup.

Nobody switches those women off from an office in another state. They are yours. They always were.

Ask five questions of whatever comes next

Including of me. Especially of me.

What does it cost to start, all in. Is there a monthly requirement of any kind. What happens to my customers if I stop. Where is the income disclosure and can I read it today. Who gets paid when I join, and how.

Take those five to every offer put in front of you. If somebody dodges one, that is your answer. You just saved yourself a year.

Shannon's Advice

Straight talk from Shannon

I do not call them grocery stores. They are poison centers meant to do you and your family harm. It is not just the brands who are doing the harm, it is the stores themselves. They allow these toxic products on their shelves. People are sick and dying. This is a very serious matter. How can we ever trust them again?

We can't trust them. That is where Switch to America comes in. We are a new supply chain, built on family values, trust and affordability.

You do not have to take my word for it. The proof is in my blog posts, the recalls, the lawsuits and the fines. Also, inside my Switch Circle private community, we talk about real solutions.

Women come to me exhausted, in pain, stressed out, and on a list of prescriptions they never wanted. I have spent over 20 years helping women get off prescription medications. I help families reclaim their health.

We cannot stop them. I have stopped expecting to. However, we can stop walking into their stores. We are linking arms and together taking our control back. Control of our health and our finances.

Where to check me

I found no LTK page announcing a rate cut in 2026. If somebody tells you there was one, ask them for the page.

What else are women asking me about this?

Did LTK cut commission rates in 2026?

I could not find a page saying so, and I looked hard. What is true is that LTK never set your rate. The brand does, and it can change its own rate whenever it likes. That is the bit worth knowing.

How long does one of my links pay me for?

LTK says most cookie windows run 7 to 30 days. Seven to fourteen on average. On Instagram there is no window at all, so she has to buy inside that browser without leaving it.

Do I have to quit LTK to do this?

No. Nobody is asking you to delete a thing. Keep posting what you post. This sits beside that work, not on top of it.

What if my following is small?

A link needs a crowd, because it pays once. A reorder does not. Thirty women who buy their own soap every month beat thirty thousand who scroll past.

What if I never want to sell anything again?

Then don't. That is a fair answer. Keep being the one they text about what is safe to use. Let that be enough.

Here is what I want for you, whether or not we ever speak.

You spent years becoming the one other women ask. That took real work and it was never paid for properly. No change to somebody else's terms page can take it off you.

You become the one who owns the relationship, not the click.
