What Happened to It Works, and What Does the Zinzino Sale Mean for Distributors? (2026)
The short answer
It Works did not go out of business. It was sold, and your agreement went with it.
Here is the short version. On January 26, 2026, a Swedish firm called Zinzino bought It Works. Its own release lists what it got: "inventory, distributor agreements, customer agreements, and IP rights."
Today, itworks.com sends you to Zinzino's website. The rules you work under are theirs now.
The news is from January. Checked October 2026.
What this guide answers
What happened to It Works?
Quick answer: Zinzino, a Swedish firm, bought it and closed the deal the day it signed. You did not get a vote.
It is past eleven. One lamp is on in your office. The laptop is shut, and the chair is pushed back.
Your people keep texting you the same thing. What changed? You still do not have every answer. That is not your fault.
The customers on autoship, the rank you spent years on, the old back office, the group text that never goes quiet. And that feeling that the business was moving you, instead of the other way around.
It Works was paid $30 million in Zinzino shares, the release says.
In January, Zinzino said the deal would add over $60 million in sales in 2026. By May, its own report said over $45 million. Both numbers are Zinzino's own, not results.
Twenty minutes, and you decide nothing on the call
Not sure where you stand now? It is a video call about my own business, Switch to America. Ask me anything. You sign nothing.
You can always say no.
Did It Works go out of business?
Quick answer: no. The name now leads to Zinzino, and it picks which products stay.
Type itworks.com into your browser today. You land on Zinzino's website. Checked October 2026.
The products are another story. Zinzino has not promised to keep them all.
Zinzino's marketing chief, Gabriele Helmer, told NutraIngredients how it picks. In Helmer's words, "we evaluate which of the acquired products suit best" to its plan.
Zinzino's own FAQ for the move says some products "could be discontinued or may not be moved over."
So the one your customers love may stay, or it may not. Ask about it by name. Get the answer in writing.
And the products were not the only thing Zinzino paid for.
What did Zinzino actually pay for?
Quick answer: your people, listed in its books as a "distributor database," with a price on it.
On August 25, 2026, Zinzino put out its report for April to June. Note 6 covers the It Works deal.
It lists the "ItWorks! distributor database" right next to the inventory.
Then it values that database, for now, at 32,648,000 Swedish kronor. It plans to spread that value over 10 years.
Read that one slowly. The people you called and cheered on for years are a line in someone else's books.
The same report says the sellers it bought keep adding to its sales. Your group is part of that. And so you are still doing the work.
This is how the rules moved, side by side. The quotes on the right are Zinzino's own words, from its FAQ.
| Under It Works | Under Zinzino | |
|---|---|---|
| How you stay in | A license renewal | "activation status," after you accept new terms |
| The shape of your group | Three or more legs | "a two-leg binary structure" |
| Moving someone later | Changes after the pay period closed | The "forever" placement |
| Points, credits, promo codes | Earned with It Works | "not transferred to Zinzino" |
| Your rank | The rank you earned | "Rank-related information will be shared at a later stage." |
The last row matters most. Your rank is years of your life, and the answer was "later." You do not have to wait for it. You can ask.
What changes for you as a distributor?
Quick answer: how you get paid and how you stay active. Your rank was left for later.
Your It Works pay was set to end in March
The FAQ says the last It Works commission week was "expected to be March 6." Your points, credits and promo codes did not move over.
You had 90 days to say yes
Once your new account was made, you had 90 days to accept its terms. If you did not, "your Zinzino account will be deactivated."
And buying It Works products alone "does not ensure" you stay active. Zinzino's rules decide that now.
Sweden says the new owner answers for what partners post
In March 2026, Sweden's Consumer Agency banned two posts by influencers working for Zinzino. One said a saffron product could replace antidepressants. One said an oil helped her get pregnant.
The agency says Zinzino is mainly responsible for how its partners market its products. A fine of 1.5 million kronor can follow if either ban is broken.
Zinzino says its partners must follow the law, by contract. Find its rules on posting before your next post.
Isn't this just another pitch?
Quick answer: partly, and here is the part I will not dress up.
Zinzino did not throw your people away. Its FAQ asks if you will lose your group or your place in it. The answer is one word: "No."
Its FAQ said old autoship orders would keep shipping on the It Works side while accounts moved. And it is growing. Its report shows North American sales up 52% in April to June, from a year earlier.
Zinzino is not careless. But the rules are theirs now, and they were written without you.
Now me. Switch to America could change its rules too. Any company can.
Switch to America sells straight from the manufacturer. No middlemen and no markup. No minimums, no maximums.
You pay what a brand new shopper pays. I will not hand you a number to expect. Nobody honest can.
What would I do first on Monday?
Quick answer: save every old record you can still open, then ask one question in writing.
Save every It Works record you can still reach
Zinzino's FAQ says it "strongly" recommends saving your old bills and pay records from eSuite. Once the It Works systems shut down, it "will not provide access" to the old order systems.
If anything still opens for you, save it today. Put it in one folder with the date on it.
Ask Zinzino one question in writing
Where did my rank land, and who decided? Send it by email. Keep the answer.
Ask the next company the same things
Including me. Who owns the customer list? What happens to my group if the company is sold? Who can change the pay rules, and with how much notice? Where is the income disclosure?
If someone dodges one, that is your answer.
Then talk it over with a friend who has nothing to sell you.
Shannon's Advice
Straight talk from ShannonI do not call them grocery stores. They are poison centers meant to do you and your family harm. It is not just the brands who are doing the harm, it is the stores themselves. They allow these toxic products on their shelves. People are sick and dying. This is a very serious matter. How can we ever trust them again?
We can't trust them. That is where Switch to America comes in. We are a new supply chain, built on family values, trust and affordability.
You do not have to take my word for it. The proof is in my blog posts, the recalls, the lawsuits and the fines. Also, inside my Switch Circle private community, we talk about real solutions.
Women come to me exhausted, in pain, stressed out, and on a list of prescriptions they never wanted. I have spent over 20 years helping women get off prescription medications. I help families reclaim their health.
We cannot stop them. I have stopped expecting to. However, we can stop walking into their stores. We are linking arms and together taking our control back. Control of our health and our finances.

Who do you become?
Here is what I want for you, whether or not we ever speak.
It is a Saturday in late October. You are on the trail above town, and the scrub oak has gone gold. Your phone is at home on the counter. You walk slowly, because your records are saved and your answers are in writing.
You stopped waiting for "a later stage." You asked.
You become the one who knows what is hers, whoever owns the company next.
Twenty minutes, on video, no slides
Ask me first what happens to your customers here if a company is sold. If it is not for you, I would rather find out on the call.
You can always say no, and there is no follow up if you do.What else are women asking me about this?
Did It Works go out of business?
No. It was sold. Zinzino, a Swedish firm, bought it on January 26, 2026. Today itworks.com sends you to Zinzino's website.
What happened to It Works products, like the wraps?
Zinzino's FAQ for the move does not say they are all gone. It says some products "could be discontinued or may not be moved over." Ask about the ones your customers reorder, and get the answer in writing.
Did Zinzino keep my rank?
Its FAQ said rank details would come "at a later stage." If you have not seen yours in writing, ask by email and keep the reply. You are not crazy for asking.
Do I have to leave Zinzino to talk to you?
No. Nobody is asking you to quit anything. Read what your agreement says about other businesses first, so you stay in good standing.
